How to report inappropriate behavior
If a conference participant engages in harassing behavior, conference staff may take any action they deem appropriate, including a warning or expulsion from the conference without a refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please inform any Kafka Summit staff and ask for the conference manager to be called immediately. Conference staff can be found at all times at the registration desk or at the Confluent booth. Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those who are experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
While you may, of course, post your complaint to social media, we ask that you to give Kafka Summit the opportunity to resolve the issue on a personal, face-to-face level first. Addressing sensitive issues in this way is generally faster and is ultimately more effective.
For security purposes, Kafka Summit conference badges must be worn and visible at all times . In the event you lose your badge, you must report to the registration desk immediately to obtain a replacement badge. Lost badges will be replaced for a $150 fee.
Confluent will be recording and distributing all the sessions post-conference. Any unauthorized recording of sessions without the written permission of the conference manager is prohibited.
We expect participants to abide by these rules at all conference-related activities including social events. Thank you for your cooperation.
